Good morning again! I didn't get this enveloped yesterday (вчера я не вложила это /письмо/ в конверт; envelope — конверт) before the postman came (до того, как пришел почтальон), so I'll add some more (поэтому добавлю еще немного). We have one mail a day at twelve o'clock (у нас одна почта в день = почтальон приходит один раз в день, в двенадцать часов). Rural delivery is a blessing to the farmers (доставка почты в сельскую местность — это благословение для фермеров; rural — сельский, деревенский; delivery — доставка, разноска)! Well, Daddy, Master Jervie's here (вот, Папочка, мастер Джерви здесь). And such a nice time as we're having (и как же хорошо мы проводим время)! At least I am (во всяком случае я), and I think he is, too (и, мне кажется, что он тоже) — he has been here ten days (он пробыл здесь десять дней) and he doesn't show any signs of going (и он не показывает никаких признаков, что /собирается/ уезжать). The way Mrs. Semple pampers that man is scandalous (то, как миссис Семпл балует этого мужчину, просто возмутительно; scandalous — позорный, постыдный; возмутительный, вызывающий возмущение). If she indulged him as much when he was a baby (если она так же потакала ему, когда он был ребенком), I don't know how he ever turned out so well (то даже и не знаю, как вообще для него все обошлось благополучно = как он стал все же хорошим человеком; to turn out — закончиться /с таким-то результатом/; стать, сделаться, оказаться).
